State-of-the-art training equipment
KDC has donated state-of-the-art training equipment, called the TUTOR Fire Training System, to the Fire Department. The new system will be used to train fire fighters as well as the emergency response team at KDC One, one of the region’s leading employers, to ensure that both organizations are equipped to respond to a wide range of emergency situations. The Fire Department will also offer training to local schools, businesses and organizations. Community training sessions are expected to begin early in 2026.
“Fires can double in size every minute and being both comfortable and proficient with a fire
extinguisher can have a huge impact on the outcome” said Kevin Robinson, director of public
security and fire for the Town of Brome Lake. “We are deeply grateful to KDC One for their
vision, generosity, and commitment to community safety.”
Commitment to safety and community leadership
Charles Lacroix, Vice-President and General Manager at KDC One, said the collaboration is part of the company’s long-standing commitment to safety, innovation and community leadership.
“We’re proud to help equip first responders—and the broader community—with the tools they
need to protect and educate,” Lacroix said. KDC One is a leader in custom formulation and
manufacture of personal care and beauty products.
This innovative partnership was initiated and led by both Ross Clarkson, Operations Chief at the fire department, and Ron Lacroix, Health & Safety and Environment advisor at KDC One. Also involved, Germain Coté of Trans-Pro Logistics Inc. generously donated transportation services to ensure the successful delivery of the TUTOR Fire Training System.
