Since early September, Dre. Geneviève Mikhail, has joined the staff at the medical clinic which is welcome news. However, it should be noted that you should avoid calling, or appearing in person at the clinic, to ask to register with the new doctor since this is handled by the government. It is not right to hassle the staff as they have no jurisdiction over this. Patients who have no family doctor (orphan patients) can register online by using the Quebec Family Doctor Finder (GAMF) at http://www.gamf.gouv.qc.ca choose the button: register to the waiting list. Those patients who are already on the waiting list do not need to re-register.
A Nurse Practitioner, Marie-Josée Robert, has also been added to the staff. She can evaluate and follow patients, request exams, prescribe medication and initiate referrals to other health professionals etc. She is an important member of the team.
Other members of staff are: Dre. Dominique Désy, Dre. Dominique Giannangelo, Dr. Vincent Lamoureux, Dr. Gordon Roper; Carole Brais (nurse), Danielle Foisy (nurse), Marjorie Rae (Social worker), Pharmacist Sandrine Amadori Matthieu, Dre. Anca Sterescu (pediatrician).
