Wendy Martin Grenier

Wendy Martin (Grenier) 75, a long term resident of Brome Lake, passed away suddenly August 24, 2023, predeceased by her partner Huzon Grenier. Wendy is survived by her daughter Kellie Grenier (Steve McGeorge) and her son Jeff Grenier as well as her three grandsons, Noah and Chase Grimond, and Ethan Grenier, whom she absolutely adored. She will also be missed by James Wilkins, her companion during the past five years.

Born in 1948, in Montreal, Wendy and her husband Huzon, a musician from Cowansville, arrived in Foster in 1973 and moved to Bondville in 1979 where she lived the rest of her life.

Wendy first worked at the Beaudry grocery store in Foster and then spent 40 years at the local pharmacy, presently Uniprix, where she worked up until her recent retirement. With so much experience she was a trusted local voice ‘Wendy knows’ was often heard spoken at the pharmacy, and her daughter fondly remembers people calling their home to ask her mom for advice.

Ask about Wendy at Uniprix and smiles appear on the faces of her work family, where photos of Wendy adorn a wall of the staff room, and are pinned up behind the cash. She is dearly missed; her colleagues remember her positive spirit, how much fun she was to be around and her desire to keep busy, or as Wendy would say to “Keep it rolling” at work.

Wendy was an avid gardener, loved to travel south in the winter and could be found at Scotyz hanging out with friends. She was quite involved in the community, even more since the passing of her husband in 2012. Participating in the Cancer Walk, the Christmas Parade, and volunteering at Manoir Lac Brome, there was never a dull moment with Wendy. She is sorely missed in the community, by her dear friends and all her many close family members.
